Dick's Tea Bar has come to be known as an institution in Val d'Isere. Dick Yate-Smith opened Dick's in 1979 and had turned the one time game hall into a winter jet set and celebrity hang out by the mid 80s. From 1997 onwards Dick's was taken over by a host of Uk tour operators and has only just recently gone back to independent owners. Entrepreneurs Seb Hall and Alex Fateh acquired the business in summer 2010 when they embarked on the rebuilding of the once famous name. |
Open everyday from 1600 for the apres ski session with with live bands and djs. The Dick's shuttle bus runs from the bottom of La Daille straight to Dick's everyday saving Dick's punters from waiting for the public buses. Once at Dick's guests are seated in the new cosy apres bar where the drinks list includes mulled wine, homemade hot chocolate and draught Bombadier as well as bacon butties for the peckish. We even supply furry slippers for those suffering from soar ski boot feet !
Every night from 10pm the 'After Supper Set' can enjoy live music at Dick's in the apres bar area
Which then opens up to the full nightclub area at around 1230

The new layout encompassing both a bar and nightclub area caters to those wanting a late night drink or a full on dance. The venue includes new seating, advanced lighting and sound systems as well as an impressive VIP island over looking the dance floor. NEW TO MERIBEL!! Welcome to 'The Den, Bar & Kitchen', Meribel's first gastro-bar offering both French and international dishes from across the globe. With everywhere else offering the standard pizza, pasta and burger, the resort was crying out for something a bit different.
Formerly Pizza Express above Dick's. The venue was redesigned this summer, with wooden floors throughout, LCD fire place and large comfy sofas. The bar offers a vibrant ambience brought to life by live acoustic music acts playing most nights.
